UPS cargo plane involved in deadly crash had cracks in engine mount, investigators say

"...Federal investigators released dramatic photos Thursday of an engine flying off a doomed UPS cargo plane that crashed two weeks ago in Kentucky, killing 14 people, and said there was evidence of cracks in the left wing’s engine mount.

I’m petrified: USPS employee speaks out after violent attack

"ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — While the job of a postal worker may seem peaceful to the average resident, it’s actually had the opposite effect recently, with a string of violent attacks on postal workers, leaving some employees scared to return to work. ...On Thursday, one USPS employee was randomly attacked by a woman he did not know, according to Rochester Police. The assailant claimed she needed to give him mail, then quickly became aggravated, demanding he return the mail to her.

She continued to follow and shout at him until she attempted to attack him with a glass bottle, and then a kitchen knife. ..."

USPS | Have a favorite stamp? You can vote to bring it back | A new contest allows participants to choose from 25 options

"...The Postal Service is introducing Stamp Encore, a contest that lets the public vote to bring back a favorite stamp from the past for reprinting in 2026.

USPS employees may participate in the contest, which is part of the Postal Service’s 250th anniversary celebration.

The contest will run from Wednesday, July 23, through Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Participants can vote online at the Stamps Forever website or by printing a paper ballot and mailing it in. The website has more information, including a list of frequently asked questions. ..."
