First day of issue for 400th anniversary Plymouth stamp planned for Sept. 17

"...Entitled “Mayflower in Plymouth Harbor,” the commemorative stamp features original art by Greg Harlin and was designed Greg Breeding. According to the USPS, it conveys “a scene of desolate beauty at the end of the Pilgrims’ long journey to an unfamiliar world.” Since 2013, McKay, Plymouth 400 and Plymouth Rock Stamp Club have worked to convince the Postal Service to include stamps recognizing the founding of Plymouth by English settlers in 1620..."

Boy Scouts Stamp - “Celebrate Scouting” commemorative stamp


"...In 2010, the Postal Service will return the favor, recognizing the 100th birthday of the Boy Scouts of America with its “Celebrate Scouting” commemorative stamp (Link, 11/12). Scheduled for release in July, the stamp pays tribute to the organization that promotes adventure, skill building, leadership, personal development, and community service...."
