Learn more about the new Postal Service Health Benefits Program

"...USPS employees may participate in upcoming webinars to learn more about health, dental and vision plan options within the new Postal Service Health Benefits Program. ...led by representatives from CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Daytime sessions will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Eastern on the following Fridays: Nov. 15, Nov. 22 and Dec. 6.

Evening sessions will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Eastern on the following Mondays: Nov. 18, Nov. 25, Dec. 2 and Dec. 9.

To participate, employees must register on the daytime webinars or evening webinars websites."

Postal Service Health Benefits Program - New Fact Sheets Released

"...The APWU has been working diligently with the USPS, the other postal unions, and OPM to ensure a smooth implementation of the PSHB Program. As a result of our combined efforts, two fact sheets have been developed to highlight the new program and answer questions for both active postal workers as well as annuitants. Senate bill would force Postal Service retirees onto Medicare

"...A retiree may have to pay another $1,600 or more per year in Medicare premiums, according to Thissen. “A Postal Service Medicare eligible annuitant subject to this section may not continue coverage under the Postal Service Health Benefits Program unless the Postal Service Medicare eligible annuitant enrolls in Medicare part A, Medicare part B and Medicare part D,” the bill said..."
