Escondido Location Offers Faster Service for Background Checks
"...Digital fingerprinting was adapted by the Department of Justice back in 1997. As a result of that legislation, the DOJ developed an automated background check process that requires digitized fingerprints (Live Scan), and beginning January 1, 2000, fingerprints had to be submitted by Live Scan rather than hard copy fingerprint cards...."
