Huntsville, Alabama - A FedEx employee is caught on a Ring video setting a safe and quality example of how to deliver mail packages.
A Madison County resident says his Ring surveillance camera captured a FedEx employee sprinting to his porch to deliver a package. "Not only did the FedEx driver deliver the package quickly, but the courier carefully placed the package on the porch. The person was so quick they would not have even known there was a camera filming the delivery. The courier returned to the vehicle as quickly as they had approached the house and then carefully drove off to the next delivery. I was very impressed with the work ethic of this individual. Great job!"

Postal Service Social Media Tracking Tests Crime Unit’s Power
"...The Postal Inspection Service “disagrees with the overarching conclusion” of the inspector general report that found the unit exceeded its authority and conducted improper intelligence searches, the statement said. “The activities conducted by the Postal Inspection Service were within its legal authority as set forth by federal statutes and case law,” it said. A connection to postal law enforcement was not always made clear when the program used an unidentified intelligence tool to monitor social media and message platforms for keywords like “protest,” “attack,” and “destroy,” the watchdog found. Its report also said requests for assistance from a postal inspector, including 14 requests to use facial recognition technology, sometimes contained little or no explanation..."

Postal ‘reform’ act locks in slower mail service
"The Postal Service Reform Act signed by President Biden on April 6 makes it harder to improve historically slow mail service and it passed over needed systemic overhauls. At its core, PSRA is a bailout. It wipes away $57 billion in defaulted debt that the Postal Service has failed to pay for its Retiree Health Benefits Fund since 2011. It will also institutionalize slow mail delivery. ..."
