Most of them have undivided backs which allowed only the mailing address to be written on the back, and, most of those had a space on the front to write a message. The postcards in this exhibit are from what postcard collectors have termed the Private Mailing Card Era (1898-1901) and the Undivided Back Era (1901-1907)...."
