Weak Sentences of Postal Thieves Just Promotes More Theft and Other Crimes

Postal worker gets probation for stealing thousands through money orders

"...Albany, NY (WRGB) — A Rensselaer County man has been sentenced to probation after admitting he stole tens of thousands of dollars through a money order fraud scheme while employed by the U.S. Postal Service.

Matthew Dundas of Petersburgh, was sentenced on January 14, 2026, to two years of probation, 80 hours of community service, and a $4,000 fine. ..."
