Postal Delivery Two Times A Day?

Twice-A-Day Postal Service

"... restored normal postal service in April 1934. In a statement from Farley that restored postal employees to the duties they performed before March 2, 1934, he said that the reduction in postal services was not necessary, as he had previously thought. Postal revenues had increased from February to March and he said he believed that they would continue to do so. Twice-a-day residential mail delivery was eliminated in the U.S. permanently in April 1950 ..."
